Having worked mainly with glass, textiles, installation and video work in previous years, Juliet Harshaw is focused on drawing, painting and ceramics. All the work has had a basis in existential experience, storytelling, intimate relationships and the experience of women. Juliet has recently (2022) moved back to London from Berlin. Working from a small studio, Juliet Harshaw references her fine art background making a variety of ceramic artworks and small paintings. With a focus on painting, colour, portraiture and narrative. She creates handmade ceramics that respond to existential experience, stories and Greek mythology. These intricately painted unique pieces often reference natural forces, historical relics and myth usually in the form of ornamental artworks, pots, vases and tableware.
